Data and Analytics Associate

The purpose of this position is to support the data and analytics functions of a technical website targeted at medical professionals. It is also an opportunity to further develop some of the core competencies associated with a career as a data professional, including; SQL, Excel, Python, and Data Visualization (Power BI). This role is part of the User Experience team and works closely with the Continuing Medical Education (CME) program to provide recommendations and insights to support project management and further development of the site. Additionally, regular reporting on performance metrics to the relevant internal parties will be a part of this role.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and produce KPI reports on regular intervals to monitor the performance functions and projects on the site using Excel and/or SQL
  • Build and publish interactive dashboards related to website engagement using PowerBI
  • Assist with (often open ended) data analysis requests relating to the engagement of Healio.com
  • Produce reports and visualizations based on analysis requests and findings
  • Query relational databases to generate datasets for analysis and visualization
  • Utilize the various web-based marketing and analytics platforms used for analysis and data gathering; Google Analytics, Brightcove (Video), Journey Mapping, and a Consumer Data Platform
  • Research best practices for web analytics and data analysis to inform practices and procedures
  • Support the team through other ad hoc requests that come up
  • Assist with the development and implementation of data QA procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (feel free to argue relevancy in a cover letter)
  • 1 – 3 years professional experience with the opportunity to have worked with the following:
    • Large data sets (thousands of records)
    • Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization (Vlookup, pivot table, basic formulas, bar chart, scatter plot, etc…)

The Institutional Marketing Strategist, Journals is an experienced marketing professional with a proven ability to develop agency-quality creative and guidance for all Journals marketing pieces. Primary responsibilities include the development of promotional materials for institutional clients.
